So, how many of you recognize this group...or something similar...from your history?  I'm not sure I've seen singers who were "quite" from this era...but pretty close?  Sometimes the problem for Christians is we never leave these bygone eras and wonder why younger persons fail to find us relevant for their lives.  It's not that the primary purpose of Christianity is to be relevant.  It is to be faithful.  But if we're not relevant then we fail in proclaiming the Gospel in ways that persons can hear and come to the faith.  Is it possible to be TOO RELEVANT?  Yeah, I think so. It's a line that needs to be walked in order to most effectively and faithfully spread the message of God's love to this world of ours.
