We had no ribbon cutting. We had no festivities or special music. We had no crowd. It was Christmas Eve and our first toilet got installed just shortly before worship was to begin.

All along, we (I, Pastor Jim) have been saying that Candy B_____ should have "First Flush." She's a founding member of the church. She's been our organist for most of the 60 years the church has been in ministry. She deserved to have "First Flush."

She did…and was kind enough to pose for the momentous picture.

It will be nice to have a flush toilet in the church. Finally we can say "goodbye" to our Port-A-Potty.
