One of my most viewed posts was a horrible Nativity made out of pork products...yes, pork products.
Well, how do you like this lovely recreation of da Vinci's "The Last Supper" made out of dryer lint? It represents 800 hours of laundry and 200 hours of "art."
Seriously, people. Read a book or something.
OK. OK. Another terribly nativity set for you. I gotta' tell you. I love Jesus. I really do. He's my Lord and Savior and King of Kings and yesterday in church I preached about him being the Prince of Peace. I also love the Christmas Season and the message and music.
But, seriously, why do we have to do this to the sweet baby Jesus and his family? Squid? Really?
I've posted many reasons I want an iPad and I've occasionally used this blog (in a very non-religious way) to proclaim the virtues and benefits of Apple products. But this just left me scratching my head.
I take it this is a serious artist. The work, unlike the pork nativity shown below, is polished. And it appears that it is a very spiritual process for the artist with money going to a good cause in her community (apparently a fundraiser which, I assume, is an auctioning off of nativity sets). That's great.
But I can't help but find this odd...
